This is a triple weight cover requiring 40pf (50 centimes) due that was paid by Switzerland J33 tied by 13 June Baden cds. Blue crayon "50" (centimes) due marking in middle. Reverse with 13 June receiving cds. Staple holes on edges indicate an article of some weight was contained in the cover. Bavaria stamps were issued on June 10th.

Ms "2" (double rate) at upper left, black "T" postage due handstamp & 2 May New York Due 15cts cds. Reverse with 19 Apr. West Corton cds. During the period 1 Jul. 1875 through 31 Mar. 1879 postage due was figured at double the rate that should have been paid minus what was actually paid. In this case 20c (with penalty) was due minus 5c paid for a net of 15c due.
